The club was founded in 1996 by local man Ian Kemp. Realising the lack of opportunites for girls keen to play competitive football Ian set up a local under 12's team and became a co-founder of the Cheshire Girls Football League.
Football is now the largest girls team sport in the UK, and Crewe and Nantwich Girls F.C has now grown from this humble beginning to an organisation with over 70 registered girls playing in four teams ( under 10's, under12's, under 14's, under 16's).
All four teams comprise of mixed ability girls but share one common asset....their enthusiasm.
Despite each team playing in a competitive league our girls are encouraged to enjoy their football regardless of their ability. The only prerequisite to their participation is an enthusiasm for the game and the possession of a big smile!
Our club is entirely self financing and has aquired significant funding from various government sport and youth initiatives, in addition to a helping hand from Cheshire F.A and local council authority. For the first time in the clubs history we have a club sponsor Creative Wedding Design. They have supplied new kit in new club colours for all age groups along with other marketing support and finance
Each team manager is keen to encourage any girls with an interest in playing football to come and join us during our weekly training sessions. All girls between 8 and 16 will be welcomed with open arms. Our emphasis is focused on developing the girls technical abilities whilst maintianing a sense of fun and enjoyment.
Please note that all our team managers are CRB checked.
